Aldi launches ‘heat your home for less’ Specialbuys including cosy £6 product

New year, same freezing temperatures and soaring energy costs. But to help shoppers avoid putting the heating on but still stay snug, Aldi have launched a range of Specialbuys to heat your home for less.

The budget retailer has revealed a set of energy-efficient essentials such as electric underblankets, draft excluders and electric heaters, as well as the long-awaited return of the popular heated airer.

The range is designed to help Brits stay warm whilst saving on energy bills this winter.

As we go into the New Year with continued uncertainty, Aldi is hoping to help its customers with its latest energy busting Specialbuys range.

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi, said: "Trying to keep warm while keeping an eye on the pennies this winter is a big challenge - that’s why we’ve launched Aldi’s first ever Heat Your Home for Less Specialbuys range".

The most popular product to have gone live on the website this morning was the Silentnight electric blankets, available in single, double and king from £19.99. Already, all three sizes have sold out online, but will be available in stores from January 8.

Also returning is Aldi’s Long Hot Water Bottle (£8.99), which boasts a huge 1.7-litre capacity and is over twice the size of an average hot water bottle, as well as their foot hot water bottles which we reviewed last year - and it’s now £2 cheaper than when we bought it at £5.99.

The cosy product has meant we haven’t needed to put the heating on as often as usual, keeping toes toasty throughout the day.

Customers will also be able to save on heating bills by using plug-in electric heaters, which are proven to be cheaper and more energy efficient than traditional gas heating, especially if only one room needs to be heated.

Aldi's Oil Filled Radiator comes in at £34.99, and costs just 27p an hour to run, making it a must for shoppers wanting to cut costs this winter.

The sell-out heated airer will be available to buy in stores ‘soon’, according to the retailer. The viral product sold out in minutes the last time it was available in store, and has been helping shoppers dry their clothes without the tumble dryer for around 7p an hour.
