If you are single and looking for some love this Valentine's Day, then fear not, as Aldi has officially launched a dating service to help you find the romance you desire.
With the day of love officially only four days away, quite a few single people out there might be looking for ways that can help them bag themselves a date.
Luckily, in a twist that absolutely no-one saw coming, budget supermarket chain Aldi has come to the rescue with its exclusive, and aptly-titled, Al-Date service that will hopefully melt some hearts this year.
Inspired by the German grocery chain's 2023 Valentine's Day food range which just recently dropped in-stores, the unique dating service is looking to test the theory that the way to someone's heart is through their stomachs.
Since dating can be quite difficult at the best of times, Al-Date is designed to encourage users to understand their love-type and help them bag a date for the most romantic day of the year.
Those who do sign up for it will be offered a personalised service that will see them asked a series of questions on their dating habits, then sent Aldi-inspired chat up lines and advice that you can use in the real world or on other dating apps.
Olive Yew, a spokesperson for Aldi Scotland, said: "Dating can be as tough as an overcooked steak, but on the most romantic day of the year, everyone deserves a wingman to help them in love. Whether you are looking to spice things up with a long-term partner, turn up the heat on a new relationship or simply make that initial approach, our Aldi-inspired chat up lines are an easy way to break the ice.
"Food plays such an important role in modern dating, and once again we have an exceptional range of special Valentine’s Day products on sale at everyday amazing Aldi prices.
"Our ever popular Love Heart Lorne Sausage – the perfect addition to breakfast in bed - will be back on sale from 9 February, and our Scotch Sirloin Steak is sure to get things sizzling over a candle-lit dinner. For your sweetheart with a sweet tooth, we have our beautiful Mini Cupcakes, while those looking for something a little more cheesy can finish off the meal with Scottish Vintage Cheddar Cheese and biscuits."
If you're looking to make your solo Valentine's Day night a thing of the past, then you can sign up for the Al-Date service online now.
