Aldi launch stylish garden Specialbuys including wooden day bed and rope swing

With no less than three bank holidays to look forward to in May, budget supermarket Aldi have released a new Specialbuys range in time for the upcoming long weekends. Their garden furniture sets are ideal for family get-togethers and barbecues in the coming months.

Each Sunday, Aldi releases brand new products exclusively online before they reach the middle aisle in stores on April 27 - but with some of the bulkier items like furniture, they tend to be online exclusives.

In addition to the new arrivals, shoppers can also get their hands on returning favourites such as the Wooden Garden Day Bed and Rattan Dining Set but, as with all Specialbuys, shoppers better be quick as when they’re gone, they’re gone.

New this year, Aldi’s stylish Cocoon Chair & Cover comes in at £169.99, while the Rope Snug Swing is £199.99, both of which are perfect for those looking to introduce an on-trend, bohemian look to outdoor spaces this summer. With a bamboo-style wicker frame, the chic Cocoon Chair comes in cream or grey, and features cushions with an anti-water coating and zip-lock cover will protect it from the elements.

Aldi’s Rope Snug Swing features a stylish rope-effect design with soft organic forms and a gentle rocking movement. This gorgeous rope swing is ideal for relaxing in the sun or just catching up with friends.

Whether it’s a bank-holiday of back-to-back hosting, or just relaxing in the garden, Aldi’s latest range has everything required for a successful long weekend. Tuck-in to an alfresco feast at the Rattan Five Piece Dining Set (£299.99) while staying protected whatever the weather with the Butterfly Gazebo (£79.99), offering a shady spot or shelter from the drizzle.

Aldi’s £279.99 Wooden Garden Day Bed is a must-have for lazy days in the garden and effortlessly switches between a range of configurations using the clever pull-out base.

Shoppers can then make gardens more comfortable with Aldi’s selection of cosy rugs, cushions, and seat pads. The XL Outdoor Rug (£12.99) is available in a geometric diamond pattern or a tropical-inspired leaf patterns, and Aldi’s Outdoor Cushions (£6.99) are available in a classic beige, blue, grey, or pink, with matching Seat Pads for £12.99 per pack.

And when the sun goes down, Aldi has a selection of string lights and lanterns to light up outdoor spaces. Aldi’s £12.99 Vintage Style String Smoked Bulb Lights are solar powered so require no electrical outlets, and last up to six hours each evening. Perfect for pathways and flowerbeds, there’s the solar-powered Flickering Flame Crook Lanterns which automatically illuminate when the night draws in. Meanwhile, with a contemporary and minimalistic square design, the Square Firepit, coming in at £49.99, will keep guests cosy and comfortable during chillier evenings.

No garden party is complete without a BBQ and Aldi’s Smoker Grill (£24.99) is just the ticket for smaller gatherings, whilst those catering for larger groups can opt for the popular Kamado Ceramic Egg BBQ for £399.99.

As well as Aldi’s garden Specialbuys, Argos have also launched some money-saving deals so customers can kit out their garden for less ahead of the summer. From patio sets
to sun loungers, the retailer has launched 20 per cent off selected products when you use the code GARDEN20 at the checkout.

It means the Habitat Beach Bar Gazebo with Stools featured on This Morning is down to £320 instead of £400, while you can get a four seater bamboo patio set for £288.

The offer runs until May 9, which means you’ll have them ready in time for the final bank holiday weekend of the year, just in time for the summer.
