Aldi issues urgent recall on popular chocolates over health concerns

Budget supermarket Aldi has issued its customers with an urgent warning as it recalls a box of its own-brand chocolates.

The popular grocery chain has urged customers to check their cupboards for a box of their Moser Roth collection as it could pose a health risk due to incorrect labelling.

It was discovered that the popular chocolates contain egg, which has not been identified on the label and may make some shoppers sick.

Shoppers who have purchased this box of chocolates are being urged to not eat them if they have a dairy or egg intolerance, reports the Liverpool ECHO.

The above product has been recalled from Aldi who have provided some handy information for customers on what to do next if they have purchased them.

There are point-of-sale notices for customers which explains why the product is being recalled and tells customers what to do if they have currently bought one of these boxes.

Shoppers who do have these chocolates are being urged to return them to store where they will be issued with a full refund.

Shoppers have also been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
