Aldi issues five day warning to all customers

Aldi has made an announcement that will impact all shoppers at the end of this week.

The budget supermarket is changing its opening hours across hundreds of UK stores. The Bank Holiday weekend will see shops in England and Wales open at different times.

The alteration will see Aldi shops open until 10pm on Saturday (August 27). Sunday (August 28) will see usual opening hours of 10am to 4pm.

On Monday stores will open from 8am to 8pm, the MEN reports. However, Aldi has stressed that the opening of some stores may vary and it urges customers to check on the website. For example, there is no change to opening hours in Scotland.

Last week, one Aldi employee issued a plea to customers. The woman took to social media to tell customers to "spare a thought" for those working in the heatwave. Louisa Brown went on the Facebook group Aldi UK Shoppers after it appears she had enough of customers not being kind enough to staff.

She said: "Yes it's silly season. Every man and his dog has come out to play and visit the supermarkets. I'm not just on about my store I'm on about every supermarket, everywhere.

"To all that shop. Spare a thought for the people that are working in this heat, to keep your cupboards stocked. Or just so you can pop in for an ice lolly.

"When we say we don't have a product we genuinely don't. The stock is worked, and worked again hours after. To keep it on the shelves for YOU. My staff are tired but yet keep smiling and pushing through. Because yes, it's our job but more importantly we have a passion and we actually love our jobs.

"All the staff in every Aldi pull it out the bag every single day. We are currently up against it. But between us show grit, determination. With a will to succeed. This is a recipe for success. Keep doing what we do people. #TeamAldi".
