Aldi has issued an urgent product recall for its Inspired Cuisine Baby Potatoes with Herbs and Butter, specifically the 385g pack with a use-by date of April 12, 2025.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has warned that the product may pose "a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents" after it was found to contain milk, which was not listed on the packaging.

The FSA also advised: “If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it.”
In the UK, approximately one in 10 older children and adults suffer from lactose intolerance, which can cause discomfort and digestive issues.
In light of this, Anaphylaxis UK has issued a statement urging its members to take action: "If you have purchased the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk, do not consume it. Please return it to your nearest ALDI store for a full refund."
An Aldi representative said: "Our supplier is recalling Inspired Cuisine Baby Potatoes with Herbs and Butter because it contains the allergen milk, which is not listed on the packaging. Customers are advised to return the product to their nearest store for a full refund. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding."
Customers can visit the Aldi website here or contact customer services on 0800 042 0800 for further information.
This is not the first recall issued by Aldi. Last week, the retailer urgently recalled a popular Spanish-style crisp after it was found to contain milk and soy, which were not declared on the label. In 2024, Aldi also recalled Soupreme Creamy Chicken Soup after discovering that the product may have contained peanuts, an undeclared allergen.
Aldi is not alone in issuing product recalls. 3D Trading recalled Ruffles Sabor and Jamon Crisps due to unidentified allergens. Sainsbury's recently warned customers to return any Belgian milk chocolate bars they had purchased, following concerns about undeclared ingredients.
