Discount supermarket giant Aldi has called on Northumberland's small businesses to get in touch as it looks to expand its suppliers.
As part of a drive to support British business, the callout applies to all product categories including food, drink and Special buys. It forms part of the supermarket's ongoing commitment to spend an additional £3.5 billion a year with UK suppliers by 2025.
The supermarket chain already partners with around 5,000 British suppliers, including Primula, which is based in Gateshead.

Julie Ashfield, managing director of buying at Aldi UK, said: "Working with UK partners is at the heart of our business and three quarters of our sales are from British suppliers. We are incredibly proud of these partnerships, and it is amazing to watch so many of our suppliers grow with us."
Julie also claimed that spending more with British suppliers was leading to the creating of much-needed jobs alongside boosting British farming and manufacturing. She finished: "We look forward to bringing even more suppliers on board throughout 2023.”
