Aldi introduces new money-saving service to cut the cost of shopping

Budget favourite supermarket Aldi has launched a brand new service that aims to help customers save money while they're shopping.

Over the past few months, the price of groceries has skyrocketed - putting even more pressure on families and individuals struggling with the cost of living crisis.

And the German retail chain, in a bid to help ease the pressure, has introduced a new feature to its website that will help customers save money on shopping and adopt some savvy new techniques.

Wales Online reports that Aldi’s ‘Amazing Savings’ page now offers customers access to a wide range of hints, tips and hacks, as well as budget-friendly recipes.

It features everything from £1 meal ideas to offers on groceries, as well as money-saving SpecialBuy items that are designed to help you cut costs.

It's the latest attempt from Aldi to help its shoppers cope during these difficult times, following the Emergency Winter Foodbank Fund.

This involved the supermarket going beyond its daily store food donations to foodbanks and charities across the country to gift a further £250,000 to help those in need.

Recent research by consumer champions Which? revealed that Aldi was the cheapest supermarket in the UK for December 2022, and the whole year too.

It's the second year in a row that the budget retailer has been awarded that title.

Richard Thornton, communications director at Aldi UK, said: "Amid budget pressures due to the current cost of living, we know that things are becoming much more difficult for UK households. That’s why we are more committed than ever to offering the lowest prices, while also doing whatever we can to further support customers.

"The aim of the hub is to provide customers with tips and information to keep costs low, as well as inspiration for ways to make budgets stretch further. We know that the times ahead will be challenging, but we’re here to help people always find the lowest prices when they shop with us."
