Aldi hiring 450 people across Ireland with surprisingly big salaries and benefits on offer

Aldi stores around Ireland are hiring for hundreds of positions with 'market-leading' salaries on offer to the right candidates

The German chain has reported increased demand at their stores and are set to hire 450 new staff members in the coming months.

The vacancies are also as a result of new store openings, increased customer demand and in preparation for the busy Christmas period. They come after Aldi's capital investment of €48.4m so far this year.

Aldi claims it is Ireland's best-paying supermarket and the salaries on offer for the current vacancies live up to the billing.

The company is recruiting for store assistants including 330 permanent positions and 120 fixed term contract positions.

An Aldi Store Assistant earns €12.90 per hour rising to €14.90 per hour. Workers in Dublin, however, where living costs are higher, earn €13.25 per hour rising to €14.90 per hour.

Assistant store managers in Aldi earn between €42,025 and €54,700 while store managers receive between €60,550 and €88,250. A number of those positions are currently being advertised on the Aldi website separate to this recruitment drive.

Aldi is keen to fill all positions as soon as possible as the company continues to open new stores and sees an increase in customer demand across its existing 153-store network in Ireland.

The store assistant jobs are available across the country with 112 open vacancies in Dublin, 93 in Cork, 40 in Galway, 28 in Kildare, 24 in Mayo, 17 in Wexford, 15 in Wicklow and 14 in Meath, in addition to vacancies in all other counties.”

The new recruits will join Aldi's 4,650-strong workforce in Ireland and will benefit from a competitive package including market-leading pay, access to dedicated employee benefits and wellbeing supports, in addition to career progression opportunities.

The company created 1,050 jobs at the beginning of 2020 and added 600 new jobs to that in 2021, supporting the additional four new stores opened last year.
