Aldi has launched its own Peanut Butter Whiskey Liqueur– and it costs just £12.99. Available in stores from Thursday, the latest addition to Aldi ’s line-up offers "a unique and playful take on an Irish classic", according to the retailer.
It added: "Boasting the comforting taste of peanut butter with complex flavours of a classic aged whiskey, this drop offers a deliciously nutty tipple that is both smooth and sweet."
Aldi’s new addition can be enjoyed neat, over ice, or as part of a quirky take on a classic cocktail. It has suggested the following recipe for those looking to make a classic cocktail:
Peanut Butter Old Fashioned
Ingredients:
- 120ml Aldi’s Peanut Butter Whiskey Liqueur
- 15ml Bitters
- Splash of Soda water
- Cocktail cherry and orange wheel for garnish
- Ice cubes
Method:
- Add the Peanut Butter Whiskey Liqueur and bitters to a small glass and swirl to release the flavours. Top with the ice cubes.
- Add a splash of the soda water, garnishing with the orange slice and cocktail cherry – enjoy!
