Wearable blankets have become the must-have item this Autumn, perfect for staying cosy and keeping heating bills low. And Aldi have just brought out a Specialbuy that gives the ‘slankets’ a makeover just in time for Christmas.
At the Manchester Evening News, we’ve been looking at dupes for the popular Oodie, including Snuggy , Amazon dupes and Primark’s own versions . And now, Aldi have got in on the action, selling the soft and warm Specialbuys for less than £13.
Coming in four designs, the sleeved blankets have been extremely popular since launching online on Sunday, October 30, with the elf design having sold more than 80 today already, according to the Aldi website.

Made by Aldi’s homeware brand Kirkton House, also responsible for their fleecy bedding and luxury throws , the blankets come in Elf, Santa, Snowman and Mrs Claus designs.
The supermarket said: “This cosy, soft and comfortable blanket will add some festive fun to your home this year. Keep yourself warm and get everyone in a jolly mood with this comfortable and Christmas themed blanket.”
The oversized design measures around 183cm tall, and could be a great alternative to matching family pyjamas this year, helping everyone keep snug and warm, while getting in the festive spirit. They’re also perfect for lounging under while watching festive films, or on Christmas morning while unwrapping presents.
The blankets are currently available for pre-order on the Aldi website , with an estimated dispatch date of November 3, meaning you could be cosied up in one by as early as next week.
Aldi’s other Specialbuys this week are also getting us ready for the Christmas season, with a range of affordable decorations now on sale . Some of our favourites include these £12.99 candy cane pathfinder lights and premium snowing projector for less than £20.
Christmas jumpers for the whole family are also in stock, starting at £6.99 for children and £9.99 for adults. There is an array of designs to choose from, including jumpers for the dog , with one that reads ‘I ate all the turkey’, costing £3.99.
