Aldi shoppers have praised the supermarket's baked beans after Tesco removed Heinz products from its shelves.
Following a dispute over pricing, Heinz has halted supply of its products to Tesco stores around the UK. According to the supermarket's website, Beanz 4x415g, Sticky Barbecue Sauce 500g, Salad Cream 605g, Baked Beans & Pork Sausages 200g, Beanz No Added Sugar 4x415g Snap Pots 4x200g, Beanz No Added Sugar 200g and Chicken Noodle Soup 400g are all unavailable.
In response to the news, a Tesco spokesperson said: "We're laser-focused on keeping the cost of the weekly shop in check, offering customers great value through our combination of Aldi Price Match, Low Everyday Prices and Clubcard Prices.

"With household budgets under increasing pressure, now more than ever we have a responsibility to ensure customers get the best possible value, and we will not pass on unjustifiable price increases to our customers. We're sorry that this means some products aren't available right now, but we have plenty of alternatives to choose from and we hope to have this issue resolved soon."
A Kraft Heinz spokesperson stated: "We are working closely with Tesco to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. In today's challenging economic environment - with commodity and production costs rising - many consumers are working within tight budgets.
"We always look at how we can provide value through price, size and packs so consumers can enjoy the products they love and trust at a price point that works within their budgets, without compromising on quality. We are confident of a positive resolution with Tesco."
With Tesco shoppers unable to pick up their favourite Heinz products, Aldi customers have rushed to praise the bargain retailer's baked beans. Taking to Facebook, one customer wrote: "Now Tesco have stopped stocking Heinz beans due to “unjustified price increases” maybe it’s time to try Aldi baked beans?!
"I swapped a year ago having been “only Heinz” for years. They’re really good!"
Since being shared on Thursday morning, the post has received over 670 likes and more than 370 comments.
One said: "I used to only eat Heinz then tried aldi and there really is no comparison! Aldi all the way."
A second wrote: "My husband used to swear by Heinz, then they must have changed as they became very watery and not so tasty... Aldi is the way to go for us now."
A third echoed: "I actually preferred this brand of beans I fing the heinz sauce really watery. The aldi ones the sauce is really thick and tastes better."
"Much better than Heinz ...they spoiled Heinz beans when they changed the recipe and took out flavour," stated a fourth.
"Love these beans have been getting them for years ….Aldi's soups are quite good too, I’ve tried tomato, and the chicken soup , very little difference in taste , but a lot of difference in price compared to Heinz soups," a fifth shared.
Another agreed: "They are better than Heinz, I also swapped a good few years ago."
