Aldi, Asda, Morrisons and Co-op change their logos without any customers noticing

We may visit them on a daily basis, but some of the country's biggest supermarkets have made major changes to their logos.

Each time we pop to our local for our weekly groceries, we become just that bit more familiar with their iconic logos that are usually plastered everywhere in-store.

Whether it's on aisles or own-branded products, we usually don't pay that much attention to logos while we pop in for some milk and bread.

But it looks like we should have been paying a bit more attention during our shopping, as it appears quite a few supermarkets have been re-designing their iconic logos.

Supermarket giants including Aldi, Asda, Morrisons and the Co-op are among those who have been playing around with new designs that went unnoticed by shoppers.

The changes were only noticed after one eagle-eyed shopper took to social media after they recently spotted some major companies making changes to their logos, reports The Mirror.

TikTok user @crapipadart uploaded a video that shared a look at four supermarket logos today and then revealed what they used to look like - before any alterations were made.

The caption reads: "Logos that changed without you even noticing."

The video shows how Aldi, Asda, Morrisons and The Co-op have since changed their logos in subtle ways.

For Aldi, the original logo used to feature six thin, straight lines forming the A, with the store's name written underneath.

The A is on a dark blue background, surrounded by a thin red border, slightly thicker orange border and a wide yellow curved border on the outside.

However, the new logo features more modern, thicker, curved lines for the A, with the red, orange and yellow borders still present but much smaller.

When it comes to Asda, the logo shape and size are the same, but the colour has changed to a lighter, brighter shade of green than before.

Meanwhile, people on TikTok were surprised to see how the Morrisons logo used to be a big black and yellow letter M, whereas today it's the word Morrisons in green, with some yellow leaves above the middle.

The clip also shows the co-op's logo, switching between The co-operative and co-op, but some pointed out these are two different things, hence why you still see both logos.

The viral video has since been viewed by 423,000 people, with hundreds of shoppers getting a little emotional at the changes made.

"Why does this sound make me sad but I still love it?", one person commented.

"Why am I emotional over supermarket logos?", wrote another.

A third replied: "Morrisons had a glow-up."
