Aldi are selling a heated dressing gown but it's reminding people of Star Wars

Despite December having just passed and spring almost upon us, it is still very cold and it's only set to get colder.

According to Weather.com, the city is set for snow on Monday (January 31) with temperatures set to reach almost 0C.

Forecasters have said that on the last day of the month, there will be highs of just 4C and lows of 3C making a really chilly end to the first month of 2022.

So with our days about to get much colder, why not sit on the sofa and wrap up warm - but if you want to do this you may be missing one essential item.

Introducing Aldi’s Kirkton House Heated Coat - a soft flannel full-body fleece with an integrated heated system to save you from the UK's brutal winter.

The product description reads: "Fight off the winter chills with this Kirkton House Heated Coat. While the weather turns cold outside you can remain warm. This soft, cosy and heated coat not only looks great, but is practical too. All you have to do is wrap it around you, set your ideal temperature and enjoy that warm and cosy feeling."

Sharing the latest product to the Coupon Mama UK Facebook group, the heated dressing gown is already proving to be a huge hit with shoppers.

Fans love the idea but it is reminding people of Star Wars. (Aldi.)

One excited fan said: "Going to get two of these to save on gas."

Another, tagging a friend said: "We need these for the office omg!!!"

A third added: "Shame its mains operated .. you'll have to unplug yourself to move lol."

A few people also said that it reminded them of the clothing in Star Wars.

Aldi UK later picked up on the trend and said "Anyone calling it a housecoat gets a lifetime ban from Aldi."

Interested? Well it only costs £34.99 and comes in a variety of colours.
