Aldi has revealed when its stores will be open over the festive period. In the run-up to Christmas, the budget supermarket is extending its opening hours to give shoppers more time to pick up last-minute food, drink and gifts before the big day.
The German retailer will be opening from 7am to 10pm from Monday, December 19 to Friday, December 23, ith stores open until 6pm on Christmas Eve. Customers are advised to still check their local store times online in order to avoid disappointment.
Aldi will close its stores as usual on Christmas Day, and will keep all stores shut on Boxing Day as a thank you to colleagues and in recognition of their hard work throughout the year – although this isn’t new, as it’s something Aldi has done since opening in the UK over 30 years ago.

The majority of stores will also be open from 8am until 8pm in between Christmas and New Year, and until 6pm on New Year’s Eve to help shoppers get everything they need to bring in 2023. Stores will also be open until 8pm on Bank Holiday Monday, January 2, 2023.
For those that don’t fancy braving the aisles so close to Christmas, the supermarket also offers a Click and Collect service in over 200 stores, meaning thousands of shoppers will be able to choose from a range of grocery items online before heading to their local store where their items will be brought to their car by Aldi colleagues.
