Aldi and Argos shoppers ditching air fryers after becoming 'addicted' to cheaper alternative

Aldi customers are ditching the air fryer after becoming "addicted" to a cheaper alternative.

With energy prices at an all-time high, the air fryer has become a UK household staple in the past few months. As people find ways to cook their food without putting their energy-guzzling ovens on, air fryers have become a go-to appliance.

But many brands are expensive, and keep being out of stock. However, Aldi shoppers have found a handy alternative, as reported in Birmingham Live.

Multi-cookers allow you to cook dishes and items from soups to risottos and even yoghurt with one touch of a button. And many multi-cookers are cheaper than an air fryer.

The Ambiano Multi Cooker has become a firm favourite with Aldi fans but at the time of writing, it remains out of stock, though there are alternatives out there.

Argos is selling one for £60 with rave reviews from shoppers. It has five-star reviews from more than 300 people who own the product.

Blue Jay said: "I bought this multi cooker 2 weeks ago. I am very happy with my purchase. This multi cooker is fantastic. Lots of programmes and functions and very versatile. Makes cooking so easy and convenient. I would highly recommend to family and friends."

SusiC said: "Had this a few weeks and so far it has been great. I’ve made curry, sausage casserole, beef stew and veggie soup. Sometimes need to adjust the timing but saving on energy against putting on a whole oven for 2-3 hours or the hob. I do feel that a recipe book would have helped, a few in line but not enough."

Lana said: "Addicted, don't use my oven any more. I've made lots of tasty meals for my fam" [sic].
