In preparation for the cold weather ahead, Aldi is selling a range of thermal clothing. Shoppers are hailing one £6.99 garment as "snug and warm" so could be perfect in our battle to 'heat the human not the house' amid rising energy costs.
Anyone who has stood at the side of a pitch or other outdoor pursuit will know the value of thermals or skins. Shoppers are now stocking up on these "extra layers" from budget supermarket Aldi after the retailer showcased its range of 'SpecialBuys'.
Thermal bottoms are being sold in the range, which one shopper commented were made from a "good quality fabric". They said: "High cotton content. Really good extra layer." However they did note that the waistband was "not very elastic so tends to slip".

The Avenue thermal bottoms are made from 50% cotton, 26% polyester and 24% viscose. They are being sold in grey and navy colourways. Aldi says: "[The] thermal bottoms will definitely keep you warm through the winter. Providing high wearing comfort and good thermal regulation, simply pop on this thermal underneath your over garment to stay well insulated."
Racking up an average of 4.5 out of 5 stars in the product's review rating, the comments continued. "Snug and Warm," wrote one person, adding: "Second time l have brought this product, never fails." When the product was previously offered for sale, one person called them "just the job", adding: "Good quality, very warm, just wish they had the navy in stock."
Other products in the range have also got shoppers commenting. One shopper called the T-shirt "warm and comfortable", saying: "Brought this thermal t-shirt for my husband. He’s very pleased with it, says it [is] very warm and comfortable to wear. Have washed it once and it seems absolutely fine. Great value for money."
Also in the range are thermal fishing joggers. One shopper called them an "excellent buy", adding: "Would buy again they are comfortable and easy to wash." The joggers are priced at £12.99 and have been rated 4.6 stars out of 5.
