Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s partner, Jodie Haydon, has made her debut on the global stage after the pair attended a dinner hosted by Spanish royalty to kick off the NATO Summit.
Ms Haydon has travelled with the prime minister for the summit in Madrid this week, and will also join him in Paris to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Mr Albanese and dozens of world leaders, including US President Joe Biden, attended a gala hosted by the King and Queen of Spain on Tuesday night local time, to mark the official start of the NATO Summit.
Ms Haydon wore a deep green dress paired with pointed black stiletto heels for the event, where she rubbed shoulders with global heads of state.
En route to Europe, she also laid a wreath with Mr Albanese at a memorial honouring Australians killed on operations in the Middle East, at the Al Minhad Air Base in the United Arab Emirates earlier this week.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg thanked the royals for hosting the dinner for the allies and partner nations participating in the summit.
Mr Albanese is expected to meet with a number of world leaders on Wednesday, including his counterparts from New Zealand, South Korea, and Japan – a group known as the Asia-Pacific Four.
