Alaric Jackson is the Los Angeles Rams’ biggest pending free agent this offseason, both in a literal and figurative sense. The 6-foot-7 left tackle is projected to be one of the best players available on the market this year, though the Rams can prevent him from signing with another team by extending him themselves.
He seems to love playing in Los Angeles and his reaction to Matthew Stafford playing through four cracked ribs suggests perhaps he wants to stay with the Rams. Jackson said on Instagram that he “wouldn’t want to block for anyone else,” which shows the respect he has for Stafford as a quarterback and person.

The futures of both Stafford and Jackson are uncertain entering the 2025 offseason. Stafford is likely to at least consider retirement, while his contract is also structured to make it possible for him and the Rams to split.
Jackson is a pending free agent and will garner plenty of interest from other teams if he isn’t extended beforehand.
The Rams have some big decisions to make and keeping these two players in Los Angeles are likely to be at the top of the list.
