Alan Titchmarsh joked that he will be upstaged by Hollywood actor Tom Cruise at the Jubilee celebrations.
The 73-year-old joins Tom and Dame Helen Mirren in leading the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
They will be coming together for the televised event at Windsor Castle which will see performers reenact some of the Queen's unforgettable moments.
When asked about how he felt about being compared to Mission Impossible actor Tom in this celebration, Alan explained: "Well, it's raised a few eyebrows and given rise to a few comments, but it has also raised the profile of the event.
"At least I was described as a 'Gardening A-lister', so that will do me, though as well as being a man of the earth I have also been a television presenter and talk show host for more than thirty years now.
"I just want to get out there and do a good job and I am sure Tom Cruise feels the same."
Other stars part of the event include Damien Lewis and Bridgerton's Adjoa Andoh, who will be hosting one of four acts.
The star-studded guest lists include Sir Mo Farah, Sir Trevor McDonald, Moira Stuart and Ant and Dec.
The celebrations will be two hours long and include 1,300 performers, 500 performers and will cover around 400 years of royal history.
Dame Helen has the important role of playing Queen Elizabeth I while Omid Djalili will play the narrator.

Discussing what he thinks the Queen will enjoy the most, Alan said: "Undoubtedly it is the horses that will lift Her Majesty's spirits, but I hope she will also feel touched by the presence of so many people, both on-stage and in the audience, who are there not only to enjoy the spectacle but to say 'Thank you' for a job well done, and to wish her well for the future.
"Goodness she's earned our respect!"
Hosting the entire night will be TV favourite Phillip Schofield and Julie Etchingham.
"What a milestone - it's an honour to be involved and to be asked back following the Diamond Jubilee," the ITV presenter said.
"Celebrating the 70-year reign of a British monarch has never happened before, so it feels incredible that we are involved in a key part of history that the British public will look back on for years to come."
The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration airs Sunday 15th May on ITV and ITV Hub*
