Alan Stubbs delivers Celtic vs Rangers prediction, title verdict and Alfredo Morelos opinion

Alan Stubbs is certain Celtic will run out of tomorrow's Old Firm showdown with Rangers victorious and go on to lift the Premiership title in May.

Ange Postecoglou and Giovanni van Bronckhorst go head to head for the first time this season at Parkhead tomorrow afternoon with the chance to both lay down an early marker in this season's title chase. The Hoops go into the clash with a perfect five out of five record while Rangers have four wins and a draw from their opening batch of games.

Former Celtic defender Stubbs - who had managerial stints in Scotland with Hibs and St Mirren - believes it will be a very open derby clash but the Hoops will walk away with all three points on the day. He also heaped praise on Aussie boss Posteoclgou and weighed in on the Alfredo Morelos debate by stating he has 'questions' to answer.

Speaking to BoyleSports Football Odds, Stubbs said: "Celtic's 100 per cent record will continue this weekend but it will be a very open Old Firm. Both teams have great spending power now and are pulling further and further away from the rest of the league.

"Celtic were nothing short of fantastic under Ange Postecoglou last season and they're still ahead of Rangers but it is closer than it has been in previous years.

"Ange's standards sets him apart from every other manager. Celtic were a mess when he took over and he came in at the right time. He's a calm and calculated individual that the players really respect.

"I get the impression that the league will go down to the wire. Celtic are my favourites and they have a bigger strength in depth. Rangers have strengthened though and there's a lot more competition for places and the Old Firm will definitely dictate where the league goes."

On Rangers striker Morelos, he added: "There's no doubt what a fit and firing Alfredo Morelos brings to the team but his attitude isn't right and he's let Rangers down.

"He's cost them a lot of points. Morelos has a lot of questions he needs to answer and he owes the manager and fans far more than what he's shown."
