Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has sent a message to England manager Gareth Southgate after Kieran Trippier impressed yet again with another top performance in the Magpies' 5-1 win over Brentford.
Trippier recorded his second assist of the season for Bruno Guimaraes' opening goal yesterday with a lovely, deep cross perfectly weighted for the Brazilian to head it home.
The 32-year-old has made 37 appearances for the Three Lions, and is most remembered in an England shirt for his early free-kick goal against Croatia in the 2018 World Cup semi-final.

Taking to Twitter after the match, Shearer retweeted Match of the Day's tweet where Micah Richards said that "He's [Tripper] got a wand of a right foot". In the MOTD tweet, they asked the question if Trippier should be on the plane and Shearer made his feelings clear.
Shearer then gave a comment of his own saying: "England's best full back".
The comments come after there has been much debate over the past few weeks as to who Southgate will take with him to Qatar, with multiple players in the full-back position up for spots.
An injury to Manchester City's Kyle Walker looks to have opened up what would've been a guaranteed spot for him so Trippier is likely to make the plane.
Others that could join him include Chelsea's Reece James who has been hailed as the 'best right back in the world' after his performance against AC Milan in midweek.
There have been questions marks around Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold and his defensive abilities, however, which could potentially allow Trippier a starting spot in the World Cup - which begins next month - after Alexander-Arnold didn't play a single minute during the international break.
