Alan Shearer has hailed Newcastle United playmaker Bruno Guimaraes as 'Different class' after his brace against Brentford. The Brazilian was a standout performer as Eddie Howe's side consolidated their European berth with a controlled display against Thomas Frank's side.
Guimaraes' goal gave the Magpies the lead - after Brentford saw a goal ruled out for offside - capping off a brilliant set piece straight from the training ground. Jacob Murphy added a second for Howe's side moments later, Callum Wilson capitalised on a loose ball outfield and unselfishly squared for the winger to finish into an empty net.
Ivan Toney's second-half penalty reduced the deficit but only for a matter of seconds as Guimaraes doubled his tally for the afternoon. The Brazilian controlled the game from the outset and was fully deserving of any praise.

Miguel Almiron continued his fine run of form, grabbing a fourth with just under ten minutes of the game remaining. Ethan Pinnock's own goal rounded off an afternoon to forget for Thomas Frank's side.
Shearer tweeted: ""Brilliant atmosphere today at St James Park. 5 goals for the Toon. Bruno different class. Every player looks happy and very f…….. fit. TOON TOON."
The Magpies legend tweeted: "Bruuuuuunoooo Brunnnooooooo Bruuuunnooooo," after the Brazilian's opener and was full of praise for the 'impressive first-half display.
"A very impressive 1st half from the Toon," Shearer added. "Looking fit as F… all over the pitch. Toon Toon."
