Shearer sends blunt Liverpool penalty message
Alan Shearer has delivered an emphatic one-word verdict on whether Nottingham Forest should have had a penalty against Liverpool.
In the final minutes of the game, which Liverpool won 1-0, Steve Cooper’s side saw an appeal for a penalty turned away by VAR. Referee Craig Pawson initially waved away the appeals before the incident received a second look.

Keane makes Liverpool penalty claim
Roy Keane believes referee Craig Pawson made the correct decision in not giving Nottingham Forest a penalty in Liverpool's 1-0 win at the City Ground in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
The Reds opened the scoring deep into the second half through Diogo Jota, but Forest striker Ryan Yates was certain he should have been awarded a penalty after going down when falling over Alisson's outstretched arm. VAR reviewed the challenge and play continued.
Former Manchester United captain Keane was in the ITV studio when Liverpool progressed to the FA Cup semi-finals and he highlighted how Forest striker Yates wasn't 'smart enough' to win a penalty for his side against Jurgen Klopp's men.
