Former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp and Premier League legend Alan Shearer have agreed on Dejan Kulusevski and Harry Kane's inclusion into the latest edition of team of the week after the Leeds thumping.
The Lilywhites responded in the perfect fashion to their dismal 1-0 defeat in Lancashire against Sean Dyche's Burnley with a ruthless display against a Leeds side who have now sacked Marcelo Bielsa after this latest blow.
Kulusevski and Kane were on the goal scoring list against a side who have conceded 10 goals in their last two games but nonetheless, this didn't stop Shearer and Redknapp adding the attacking duo to their team of the week.
"I was very clear when I signed Bentancur and Kulusevski. Two perfect players for the club, young talented players to develop. Kulusevski is a player who is only 21 years old and in these four games he could have scored in every game," Conte reflected on the Swede and Kane after the game in his post-match press conference.
"I think he is showing that he is a fantastic player for the present but also he if he continues in this way he can become a really important player.
"He is strong physically, good technically, he has no fear of the opponent or the tackle. It is a good sign, with Harry and Son, also Lucas Moura and Bergwijn, offensively we are good and I am happy for this."
Although the Newcastle legend didn't offer up an explanation for both players' inclusion in his side, his counterpart in this case Redknapp did and here's what he had to say on both players and why they made the cut over others.
On Kane, Redknapp said via Bet Victor: "He looks back to his best! A goal and an assist on the day, he looked lively throughout. His partnership with Son is incredible, they’re perfect together and will go down as one of the best in the Premier League era."
On Kulusevski, Redknapp explained: "This lad can play! A constant threat all afternoon and got his goal after just 15 minutes. Spurs tend to blow hot and cold, but if he can keep this sort of form going, they’ll continue to improve."
Despite both agreeing on the attacking threat that was present at Elland Road in this gameweek, one area that the duo disagreed on was the right-back/wing-back position.
Redknapp put Matt Doherty into his side whilst Shearer opted for Aston Villa's Matty Cash, who like the Northern Irish full-back, played a significant part in his side's win against Brighton on the South Coast.
Redknapp explained: "A goal and an assist for this man against Leeds at the weekend.
"Spurs were at their very best, and when Doherty’s on form with the likes of Kane and Son, they cause any team problems."
Redknapp's team of the week (4-3-3): Ben Foster; Matt Targett, Craig Cathcart, Fabian Schar, Matt Doherty; John McGinn, Joe Willock, Declan Rice; Michael Olise, Dejan Kulusevski, Harry Kane.
Shearer's team of the week (4-3-3): Ben Foster; Kyle Walker-Peters, Tyrone Mings, Mohammed Salisu, Matty Cash; James Ward-Prowse, Declan Rice, Joelinton; Ryan Fraser, Dejan Kulusevski, Harry Kane.
