ALAN Cumming has backed The National’s campaign to raise money for vital aid in Gaza.
The famous Scottish actor and TV presenter gave his support to our Medical Aid for Palestinians fundraiser, which is aiming to raise £50,000 this week, by sharing a call for donations on his Instagram.
It comes amid fears that the total collapse of Gaza’s healthcare system could kill more people than the conflict itself – with only 16 of Gaza's 36 hospitals currently operational and just 1822 hospital beds available, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO).
All money raised by The National goes directly to this important charity, which is on the ground providing urgently needed medical aid and mental health support in Gaza, the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Lebanon.
