ALAN BROWNE was full of praise for his Ireland teammates for producing the good when they really needed to against Scotland tonight.
Stephen Kenny's men had endured a horrible start to the latest Nations League campaign.
Two defeats from two against Armenia and Ukraine.
But they brushed Scotland aside with ease in Dublin on a sunny Saturday evening at the Aviva.
Browne opened the scoring with a close-range finish, as he prodded home past Craig Gordon.
Troy Parrot and Michael Obafemi completed the rout with strikes either side of half-time.
This set the Irishman on their way to a much-needed and famous win over Steve Clarke's men.

And Browne could not hide his delight when discussing what the result meant to him and his national teammates.
He told Premier Sports: "Tonight was brilliant. Given the start we've had to this campaign, it was a big chance for us to kick-start what we've wanted to do from the beginning.
"Thankfully we got the right result tonight, with the performance to match that.
"At this level you've got to be motivated for every game. At the start of this campaign we've been on the wrong end of two results. It was such a shocking start.
"Tonight was really important for us to get some points on the board. The result is all that matters, thankfully we got the three points."
On the goal itself, he admitted he knew very little about the finish.
He added: "The gaffer just told me to get myself in and around the box. I was sniffing about and thankfully the ball came to me and it found its way into the back of the net.
"I didn't know too much about it. That was the all important first goal, though."
