The leaders of Egypt, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan reiterated on Tuesday their support for efforts to consolidate security and stability in the region.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi held talks with Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Jordan’s King Abdullah II at the Presidential Palace in the New Alamein City.
Egypt’s presidency spokesman Bassam Rady said the meeting discussed brotherly relations and various aspects of joint cooperation between their countries.
The leaders underscored their support to efforts aimed at consolidating security, peace and stability in the region to achieve the aspirations of the people.
The leaders also reviewed and exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues and developments.
Sisi had welcomed the three Arab leaders on Monday. Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi was also present but he had to cut short his visit amid political upheaval in Baghdad.
The officials discussed bilateral relations and ways to boost cooperation between their countries, said an Egyptian presidency statement.
Also on Monday, Sisi and the Arab leaders toured the New Alamein City and the Regal Heights Resort.
