Alabama’s Brandon Miller Makes NBA Draft Decision

Alabama forward Brandon Miller told ESPN he is entering the 2023 NBA draft, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Miller is slated to be selected in the top five of this year’s draft, but per Wojnarowski, the Crimson Tide star has made a strong case to be the No. 2 selection behind projected No. 1 pick Victor Wembanyama.

He was named the SEC Player of the Year after leading Alabama to a regular-season conference championship, averaging 18.8 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 43% from the floor.

Though he has been successful on the court, Miller has faced a great deal of public scrutiny surrounding his involvement in a deadly Tuscaloosa shooting. Miller allegedly provided former teammate Darius Miles with the firearm used in the shooting death of 23-year-old Jamea Jonae Harris, according to police testimony. While Miles faces a capital murder charge, Miller was not charged in the incident

Jim Standridge, Miller’s attorney, said his client had no prior knowledge of the altercation that led up to the shooting. He also said Miller never touched the gun and was not involved in the process of supplying the firearm.
