Alabama football did not fare well in its two trips to the Volunteer State this month.
After the team shockingly dropped a game to Vanderbilt in Nashville on Oct. 5, the team lost its annual bout with No. 11 Tennessee in Knoxville on Saturday, 24-17.
This is the first time since 1984 that Alabama has lost to both Tennessee and Vanderbilt in the same season, according to the school’s records between the teams.
Of course, Vanderbilt had not beaten Alabama in 40 years before this month’s victory. Tennessee only had two victories against the team since 2006, including 2022’s upset in Knoxville.
Alabama typically fares well with its trips up to Tennessee. However, this October left the Crimson Tide with an 0-2 record.
