Alabama fans honored Nick Saban by placing Cokes and Little Debbie snacks by his statue

Alabama coaching legend Nick Saban has officially retired from college football, and Crimson Tide fans paid fitting tribute to him at his statue by Bryant-Denny Stadium.

After news broke of Saban’s retirement on Wednesday, Alabama fans decorated the base of Saban’s statue with some of his favorite snacks, like Coke and Little Debbie Oatmeal Cream Pies.

If you’re sending Saban out in style, a soda and oatmeal cream pie is a heck of a way to do it. We’re sure he might sneak by his statue sometime this week and grab a few of these for himself. If they’re free, they’re free!

We’re sure Saban appreciated such a personalized tribute as he steps away from the Alabama sideline, and we’re sure this display made him awful hungry and thirsty for some of his favorite treats.

When you send the greatest college football coach of all time out, you do it in style … and with snacks.
