Ajay Devgn remembers Neeraj Vohra on 60th birth anniversary; reveals Rohit Shetty and he were making something else but were taken away by the writer's Golmaal script

Rohit Shetty's 'Golmaal' is one of the most popular and hit franchises we have in Bollywood. It was late writer and actor Neeraj Vohra who set the ball rolling by penning the script of the first part.

Remembering him on his 60th birth anniversary, Ajay Devgn told a news portal that he feels sad about Neeraj's untimely death. The actor added that the writer was very talented. According to him, when it comes to comedy, there were very few writers like him.

Elaborating further, he revealed that when Rohit Shetty and he heard the 'Golmaal' narration, they were completely sold. He also added that they were due to make something else but after hearing Neeraj's script, they were totally taken by it and decided to make it, Ajay told Bollywood Hungama. Ajay also went on to add that Neeraj was an excellent writer and Hindi cinema only stood to benefit from him.

Neeraj Vora passed away on December 14, 2017. He was reportedly in a coma for 13 months after suffering from a massive heart attack and brain stroke.

'Golmaal' also starred Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Rimii Sen, Paresh Rawal, Manoj Joshi and Vrajesh Hirjee.
