Ajax coach Alfred Schreuder has admitted he has been watching Manchester United's win over Liverpool as his team prepare to take on the FA Cup winners.
On that occasion, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford fired Manchester United to a memorable first win under Erik ten Hag as bitter rivals Liverpool were beaten 2-1. Sancho showed remarkable composure when putting the hosts ahead and Rashford extended their advantage as he raced beyond the Liverpool back line early in the second half, with Ten Hag’s men holding out for victory after Mohamed Salah reduced the deficit late on.
Ten Hag's former club Ajax will travel to Anfield on Tuesday to take on Liverpool, with Schreuder saying his side is expecting "to go into a storm". But he is still hoping to repeat Ten Hag's achievement of getting a win over the Anfield side.

Schreuder’s predecessor Ten Hag has already recorded a victory over Liverpool this season as the new Manchester United manager and the current Ajax boss studied that performance as part of their preparations. "I have looked at the match what they did. There are certain things they did that are applicable to us from the Manchester United match," he said.
The Ajax boss thinks his side "have a chance" if they "have courage". Ajax got their Group A Champions League campaign underway a week ago with a 4-0 win over Scottish side Rangers.
That result put Manchester United fans into a frenzy as they called for the Reds to return and "raid them again" following the arrivals of Lisandro Martinez and Antony from the Dutch outfit during the summer. Liverpool will be particularly keen to win the tie, however, having started their Champions League campaign with a 4-1 loss away to Italian outfit Napoli.
