Security workers in Florida were left stunned after scanning a woman’s carry on luggage. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) discovered a 4-foot boa constrictor tucked away in one passenger's baggage at Tampa International Airport, with hopes she could bring the reptile onboard.
On Friday, the TSA tweeted about the December 15 incident, showing an x-ray of Bartholomew, the boa constrictor, in the traveller’s carry-on bag.

The woman claimed the snake was her emotional support pet, however, TSA notified the airline which ruled the snake was not able to board the flight.
TSA also posted about the incident on Instagram saying officers at the airport “didn’t find this hyssssssterical!”
Boa constrictors is a species of large, non-venomous, heavy-bodied snake that is frequently kept and bred in captivity, known to kill their prey by squeezing them in their strong coils.
This is not the first time a pet has been found in a passenger’s luggage in a US airport, as last November, a cat was found at New York’s JFK airport when officials noticed ginger fur sticking out of a suitcase.
Apparently the ginger cat called Smells snuck into the case unbeknownst to its owners and thankfully was returned safely unharmed.
