Airoh Ventures Into the E-Bike Helmet World With New Metropolis

When it comes to two-wheeled transport, nothing is more important than a helmet. Whether you’re ripping through the streets on a high-performance motorcycle, cruising on a scooter, or zipping around on an e-bike, protecting your head is a no-brainer—pun intended.

And with light electric mobility exploding across Europe, Asia, and beyond, it’s becoming even more crucial. There are more e-bikes, e-scooters, and other personal electric vehicles than ever before, and quite frankly, you’d be an idiot to ride one without a proper helmet.

To that end, motorcycle helmet manufacturers are picking up on this shift, bringing their expertise into the world of e-mobility. Dainese, Bell, and HJC have already rolled out their own bicycle and e-bike helmets, and have been doing so for a number of years now. And this time, Italian marque Airoh is throwing its hat into the ring with the all-new Metropolis.

The Metropolis isn’t just another helmet—it’s designed with the future of mobility in mind. It’s lightweight, compact, and practical, making it a perfect fit for everyday riders who don’t want the bulk of a traditional motorcycle helmet, but are looking for a little more protection than what a standard bicycle helmet provides.

Ventilation is a key factor here, and the Metropolis has been designed to keep things cool for all-day riding. And so it works for both commuting through the city or going for a leisurely ride through the countryside on a weekend. It’s built to provide the right balance of protection and comfort, catering to the growing number of people who rely on e-mobility for their daily rides.

But Airoh isn’t stopping at city streets. They’re also making sure the Metropolis gets real-world exposure in one of the most high-energy environments out there—the MXGP paddock. Throughout the 2025 season, race stewards, track staff, and mechanics for Airoh-sponsored riders will be rocking this new lid. It’s a smart move. Not only does it keep the people behind the scenes safe as they navigate the chaos of a race weekend, but it also puts the Metropolis in front of an audience that’s all about the two-wheeled lifestyle.
Airoh’s banking on people to see this new helmet and want one for themselves.

‘Cause you know, race on Sunday, sell on Monday.

For now though, the Airoh Metropolis is set to be available exclusively in Europe, and pricing hasn’t been listed on the brand’s official website just yet. But one thing’s for sure—helmets aren’t just for motorcycles anymore, and Airoh is making sure riders of all kinds stay protected as the world of mobility continues to evolve.
