Captain Callum Fordyce insists Airdrieonians feel no extra pressure ahead of their crunch clash with Cove Rangers - because they've had to deal with 'must-win' games for weeks.
The Diamonds are on a 14-game unbeaten run in League One but trail their rivals Cove - currently on a 20-game streak without defeat - by five points at the summit, heading into Saturday's top-of-the-table clash at New Broomfield.
Victory for Airdrie would give their title bid a real shot in the arm, while a defeat would see Cove march eight points clear with one hand firmly on the trophy.
Fordyce refused to concede the title would be over if his side don't win and insisted it's "just another Saturday" as they look to beat their rivals for the first time this season.
He told Lanarkshire Live Sport : "We've had to basically win every game for weeks now and nothing really changes this weekend.
"They've all been cup finals for the past few weeks and we are on a good run.
"We know we will probably need to win every game between now until the end of the season, but the build-up to Saturday is the same, relaxed atmosphere.
"We've got guys who are very experienced and who've played football for a number of years so it's just another Saturday.
"A win would make our task slightly easier, albeit Cove will still be in front of us, but we would have clawed back a bit of ground.
"And we are not saying it's done and dusted if we don't get a win, but we know it will be a tougher task."
Cove have the upper hand in the fixture this season, having won twice and been held to a draw at Balmoral Stadium in February.
Both of Cove's victories came late on with Morgyn Neil netting an 89th minute winner in a 1-0 victory in August, while a 2-0 win at New Broomfied in November came courtesy of strikes by Mitch Megginson and Fraser Fyvie in the last 11 minutes.
So on Saturday Fordyce knows his side, who have already sealed a play-off spot, must take their chances.
He added: "If you look at the games we've had against them they've all been really close.
"They had an 89th minute winner up there early in the season and at our place they got two goals in the last 10 minutes when, really, we should have probably been in front with the chances we had before that happened.
"It came down to fine margins and then we had a draw in the last game.
"We've shown in every game we can compete with Cove but we've learned that if we don't take our chances in these big games it can come back to bite you.
"Anyone that has watched Airdrie this year has realised how good a side we can be; the football that we play, the players that we've got.
"We play some good stuff right from the back and we've got different dimensions to the team that we've not really had the last two years here.
"It doesn't always have to be pretty football.
"We are in good shape going into the game. It's an exciting one, but it's just another game on a Saturday.
"We know big things could come out of this game for us but we can't put any extra pressure on ourselves.
"We've just got to go and enjoy it."
