Airdrie have announced the signing of Dean McMaster from St Mirren.
In player-boss Rhys McCabe's second signing of the summer, McMaster has penned a permanent deal after a successful loan spell from the Buddies last season.
The 20-year-old helped the Diamonds win promotion to the Championship with their play-off final victory over Hamilton Accies on penalties.
And he now joins striker Nikolay Todorov, who joined from Dunfermline yesterday, in committing his future to the New Broomfield side.
A statement from Airdrie read: "Dean McMaster is the latest player to join Airdrie’s squad for the upcoming Championship campaign, signing a permanent deal following last season’s successful loan from St Mirren.
"Midfielder Dean needs no introduction to the Diamonds support, having made 24 appearances during a season-long loan from the Paisley club, and will now join subject to SFA clearance.
"Impressing in the holding midfield role, 20-year-old Dean is comfortable in a number of positions across the middle of the park, and will be looking to continue his impressive progress following a solid first season at the Excelsior.
"Needless to say we’re delighted to have Dean back, and look forward to seeing him in a Diamond once again."
