Youngsters from Lanarkshire Karate Academy scored a sensational medal haul at the British Four Nations Championships last month.
The Airdrie-based club were in action at the Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility in Motherwell and took home 14 medals between them, up against the best of British at their age groups.
LKA took home two gold medals, six silver and six bronze for their efforts.
The medal winners were as follows:
Gold - Keir McGeachy, Individual Kumite; Ziva Alexander, Individual Kumite.
Silver - Kian McGeachy, Individual Kumite; Heather Mackay, Individual Kumite; Dominic Griniuk, Individual Kata.
Luke Ryder and Daniel McPake in Pairs Team kata; Sebastian Magilton, Kian McGeachy, Keir McGeachy and Jack Hunter, Team Kumite; Ziva Alexander, Ayla Armstrong, Heather Mackay, Team Kumite.
Bronze - Harrison Carty, Individual Kata; Heather Mackay, Individual Kata; Dominic Griniuk, Individual Kumite; Sebastian Magilton & Kian McGeachy, Pairs Team Kata; Ziva Alexander and Heather Mackay, Pairs Team Kata, Keir McGeachy and Dominic Griniuk, Pairs Team Kata.
Sensei Chantelle Allan said: “We had some nice results all round, with all of our U14s taking home a medal in their first British competition since 2019.
“We had a number of messages from other coaches and athletes saying how well the team performed, so they put in some nice work. I am very proud of all of them.”
