New Airdrie boss Rhys McCabe has made his first summer signing with the capture of defender Cammy Ballantyne.
The 25-year-old spent last season at League One rivals Montrose and his displays for the Links Park side - who Airdrie defeated in the play-off semi-finals - have earned him a move closer to home in South Lanarkshire.
The East Kilbride man also had spells with Dundee United and Dumbarton before his three year stint in Angus.
Cammy told airdriefc.com: “The opportunity to come and play at this club was a no-brainer. I can’t wait to get started.
“I’d also like to thank everyone at Montrose for the last few years, which I’ve enjoyed, but I felt it was time for a new challenge and I’m delighted to sign for Airdrie.”
The news follows the re-signing of Diamonds striker Calum Gallagher earlier today.
