Aircoach customers can now travel more easily as they are now accepting Leap Cards on all routes, including the ever popular Dublin Airport route.
Aircoach’s current routes include Dublin, Cork, Galway, Belfast and Derry/Londonderry, as well as routes to Dublin City Centre and Dublin Airport. Dervla McKay Aircoach Managing Director said that they were the first Irish coach and bus operator to accept contactless payments on board their vehicles in 2018.
Leap Cards can be used to purchase any Aircoach ticket as an alternative to cash and for those routes where the Free Travel Pass is accepted, customers can now tap their card on Aircoach's ticket machines.

Ms McKay said: "The Leap Card has been a great success story and joining the Leap Card system will allow our customers to link up seamlessly with the public transport infrastructure.
"While this first phase enables users to use their Leap Card as an ‘e-purse’, we are already working on our next development phase to offer customers fantastic savings from schemes such as Student/Young Adult fares etc. We are confident the Leap Card will be a win-win for everyone involved.”
There are seven different types of Leap Cards: Adult, Adult Personalised, Child 5 – 15, Child 16 – 18, Young Adult 19-23, Student, Visitor. Normal Adult Leap Cards and the child 5-15 Leap Cards can be purchased at any of the over 1,000 TFI Leap agents around the country.
