Those lazy, hazy days of summer are here —
and potentially dangerous. According to the state Energy and Environment Cabinet, which released an air quality alert lasting through midnight Wednesday, people need to be on alert, outdoors, anyway – thanks in large part, to the continuing smoke from Canadian wildfires. The cabinet’s blog warns can the hazy air can be dangerous to those with heart or lung disease, older adults and children. The cabinet suggests those people avoid strenuous outdoor activities – or move them inside.
