Emergency services have rushed to Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh amid an ongoing incident.
A woman has been injured on the popular beauty spot, with an air ambulance spotted flying over Holyrood Park.
Police were called to the scene around 1.45pm today after receiving a report of a woman being hurt.
Edinburgh Live reports that paramedics were seen preparing the woman and securing her into a stretcher at the scene on the side of the capital hill while the helicopter circled nearby.
Police Scotland confirmed the incident was still ongoing, though the nature of it is not yet known.
Witnesses also reported a helicopter flying low in Craigmillar, close to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, shortly after at around 3.30pm.
The woman's condition is currently unknown.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received a report of a woman having been injured on Arthur’s Seat, Holyrood Park, Edinburgh, around 1.45pm on Saturday, 25 June 2022.
“She was taken to hospital for treatment.”
The Scottish Ambulance Service was contacted for comment.
