Air ambulance lands as emergency services called to Greater Manchester estate

An air ambulance landed as emergency services rushed out to concerns for a woman's welfare on a Tameside estate. Paramedics and police scrambled to Ashdale Crescent, in Droylsden, this afternoon (May 24).

An air ambulance was seen landing at the nearby Floral Gardens, on Cemetery Road. North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) confirmed it was called out to an incident on Ashdale Crescent at 1.38pm, which was believed to have taken place at a private address.

Greater Manchester Police says a woman has since been taken to hospital while officers are continuing with their investigation. A GMP spokesperson said: "Officers were called at 1.40pm today (May 24, 2022) by colleagues from NWAS to a report of a concern for the welfare of a woman on Ashdale Crescent in Droylsden.
