In a tribute to Hilda, her family said: "We as a family are truly devastated at the tragic loss of my mum. She was not only a wonderful mum but also a loving wife to my dad, a doting nannie to her grandchildren and a great friend.
"We would like to give our sincere thanks to the emergency services who helped my parents at the scene of the accident. We are also grateful to the hospital staff who cared for mum and who continue to care for my dad at this time."
An air ambulance attended the scene of the crash, alongside two ambulances, an advanced paramedic and an operational commander. Police closed both ends of Ordnance Avenue while the incident was dealt with.
Cheshire Police previously launched an appeal for witnesses of the accident to come forward. Sergeant Andy Dennison said: “I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision, but has not yet spoken to police, or anyone with dashcam footage, to get in touch.”
