Air ambulance lands after medical emergency on bus in Nottinghamshire

Emergency services rushed to the aid of a man after reports of a medical emergency on a bus passing through a Nottinghamshire village. It is understood an air ambulance responded to the incident in Nottingham Road, Lowdham which happened shortly before 10am on Saturday, October 15.

The road was shut for around 30 minutes while ambulance crews dealt with the emergency. Nottinghamshire Police were also at the scene.

A spokesman for the force said: “Officers assisted after a medical emergency was reported on a bus in Nottingham Road, Lowdham, shortly before 10am on Saturday (15 October 2022). The road was closed for approximately 30 minutes while ambulance crews attended to the male.”

Shortly after the incident a member of the public reported seeing police and ambulance vehicles, as well as an air ambulance. "We were just coming back from Fiskerton and there were two police cars and an ambulance in attendance," they wrote on Facebook.

"We could also see that an air ambulance had just taken off."
