An air ambulance was called to Clifton after a police community support officer collapsed while on duty, police have confirmed. Emergency services were in attendance in shortly after 2pm today (Monday, October 17).
The PCSO has been taken to hospital. A police spokesman confirmed officers were called to support road and air ambulance crews at the scene.
Inspector Ben Lawrence, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Police officers attended to help our ambulance colleagues at the what is believed to be a medical emergency. There are no wider concerns for the community.”

A spokesman for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 2.10pm on 17 October to a commercial address in Clifton. The caller reported a medical emergency. We sent a paramedic in a fast response and a crewed ambulance.
"The air ambulance was also in attendance. One patient was taken to Nottingham City Hospital via crewed ambulance.”
Nottinghamshire Live readers reported a large presence of emergency services at the scene. One reader said police tape had been put up, and that the incident happened near to Lidl and Morrisons.
