A man, 30, has been taken to hospital after falling from a window ledge at a block of flats. Police have received a report of an attempted burglary and have launched an investigation following the incident in St Georges Court, Tredegar, at around 10pm on Tuesday, June 21.
The Wales Air Ambulance Service and Welsh Ambulance Service were called after the man man reportedly fell from a property ledge. A witness reported seeing the Air Ambulance land nearby at Deighton Primary School.
The man, a 30-year-old from Merthyr Tydfil, was taken by road to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. He continues to receive further treatment there however his injuries are not reported to be life-threatening. Police have launched an investigation into the attempted burglary.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: "We were called to an address in St Georges Court, Tredegar, at around 10pm on Tuesday 21 June following reports of an attempted burglary. Personnel from the Wales Air Ambulance Service and Welsh Ambulance Service also attended after a man reportedly fell from a ledge outside of a property.
"A 30-year-old man from Merthyr Tydfil was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, where he is receiving treatment. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We were called yesterday (Tuesday 22 June) at 10:03pm to reports of an incident on St Georges Court, Tredegar. We sent one emergency ambulance, two rapid response vehicles and a duty operational manager to the scene, where we were supported by the Wales Air Ambulance. We transported one person by road to University Hospital of Wales Cardiff for further treatment.”
