A girl has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car near Arnold. The child was injured in Nottingham Road, Daybrook, at around 3.45pm on Wednesday, October 5.
An air ambulance was called to the scene, as well as a crewed ambulance which took the girl to Queen's Medical Centre. Her injuries are not currently believed to be life-altering or life-threatening.
Macauley Jordan, who works at Out of Town barbers, next to where the incident happened, witnessed the aftermath. "I just came out, there were coppers everywhere and she was lying flat in the road," the 26-year-old recalled.

"The ambulance turned up and she was probably on the road for like 20 minutes before they got her in the ambulance. They covered her up with a blanket and put her in the ambulance."
A spokesperson for East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) said: “We received a call at 3.43pm on 5 October to Nottingham Road in Daybrook. The caller reported that there had been a road traffic collision.
"We sent a medical first responder and a crewed ambulance. The air ambulance was also in attendance. One patient was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre via crewed ambulance.” Anyone with any information about what happened is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 396 of 5 October 2022.”
