Emegency services were called to Seaham seafront after reports of a person who had fallen from a cliff.
North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) and the Air Ambulance were called to Seaham seafront at around 5.06pm on Wednesday evening after it was reported a person had fallen from a cliff and was injured near the promenade.
NEAS dispatched three hazardous response teams, two paramedics, an air ambulance and a clinical team leader.

On arrival, emergency services were stood down as the person was climbing up the cliffs, and, thankfully, were not injured however needed to be rescued by the Coastguard.
A spokesman for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 5.06pm this evening to a report of a man who it was believed had fallen from the cliffs and was injured. We deployed three ambulance response teams, two paramedics, the air ambulance and a clinical team leader.
"However, after arriving at the scene we were stood down as the person was in-fact climbing up the cliff. He was not injured and didn’t require medical attention, but he did have to be rescued.”
