Aimee Lou Wood stuns fans with all natural glow in White Lotus

Aimee Lou Wood is making waves in The White Lotus season 3—not just for her brilliant performance as Chelsea, the hopeless romantic caught up with an emotionally unavailable man—but also for something fans didn’t expect to be talking about: her choice to stay completely natural, Reported People.

While people can’t stop praising her character’s raw and relatable portrayal, some of the buzz has focused on the fact that Aimee hasn’t had any cosmetic procedures done. On a recent Vogue podcast, the actress opened up about why Botox is a big no from her.

“I saw these women yesterday; it was these women who do Botox. We were talking about how it’s obvious I haven’t had it,” she said. “People can do whatever they want, but for me, because you know a lot of my career relies on these facial expressions.”

She joked that sometimes it moves too much, but said that kind of natural expression is part of what makes her acting style unique. “A lot of people, they do that very still acting, and everything’s kind of mumbled, and they look really, like, hot and cool,” she added. “Even when I think I am doing it, I am not doing it.”

The actress also spoke about another topic that’s drawn unwanted attention—her teeth. Aimee has faced criticism for not having the ‘perfect’ Hollywood smile, but she’s unapologetically owning it.

“I can’t believe the impact my teeth are having. Americans can’t get over them,” she said. “Even the way White Lotus fans are talking about me and my teeth – that I don’t have veneers or Botox – it feels a bit rebellious.”

But while some fans celebrate her for it, she’s understandably tired of the fixation. “Can I talk about my character? Why am I talking about gynashers? It’s like now I am just a pair of front teeth,” she said. “It does feel a bit weird that the thing I got bullied for is now the thing that everyone’s like, ‘Woo!’ It’s still the thing that’s defining me.”

In a world obsessed with perfection, Aimee’s natural beauty and honesty are clearly striking a chord. But for her, it’s all about the work—not the wrinkle-free forehead or straight teeth.
